World Hearing Day takes place each year on the 3rd of March (3.3 Represents the shape of our two ears!).

Over 430 million people require rehabilitation to address their hearing loss, of these, 34 million are children. In addition, over 1 billion young people are at risk of hearing loss due to exposure to noise in recreational settings and through personal audio devices. It is expected that these numbers will rise considerably in the coming decades, unless action is taken to prevent and treat hearing loss.

How we hear in the future depends on how we care for our ears today as many cases of hearing loss can be avoided through the adoption of safe listening and good hearing care practices. For those living with hearing loss, early identification and access to timely rehabilitation are essential to achieving their highest potential.
